Monday’s head-on collision in Onslow County claimed the life of one individual.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, a car attempted to turn left onto Fowler Manning Road near Richlands, but failed to cede the right-of-way to a person driving west toward Duplin County.
The two automobiles hit head on, and one of the drivers was pronounced deceased on the site. The other was taken to the hospital.
The accident is currently under investigation.
