Man in his 30s killed in a fatal crash on A30 London Road in Camberley, police still appealing for witnesses

Surrey Police are appealing for witnesses.

Surrey Police are looking for witnesses after a deadly incident in Camberley on Saturday night (August 24). Following the incident on the A30, a 30-year-old male was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police were summoned to London Road soon before 10 p.m. after receiving a report of a collision involving a car driver and a pedestrian. South East Coast Ambulance Service responded, but the pedestrian, a guy in his 30s, was pronounced dead on the site.

The driver of the car stopped at the site and has been assisting police with their investigations. Road closures were in effect overnight as the preliminary steps of an inquiry were conducted. These were lifted at 4:01 a.m. on Sunday (August 25).

Surrey Police are currently investigating the pedestrian’s movements previous to the collision and are asking for witnesses. The police are specifically appealing for anyone who spotted someone wandering in and out of the carriageway on Saturday between 9 and 10 p.m. on the A30.
