A guy in his twenties died in an accident in Oldham Friday night, police said.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were alerted to complaints of a three-car crash on Greenacres Road at 11.41pm.
Police suspect an automobile was driving and collided with two stationary vehicles, forcing it to topple.
Despite the best efforts of rescue personnel, a man in his twenties was pronounced deceased on the site.
When contacted by The Oldham Times, a spokeswoman for Rochdale Coroner’s Court confirmed that a file in Atif Zaheer’s name was referred to their office today.
Two men, both in their twenties, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death via unsafe driving.
They remain in police custody awaiting questioning.
Detective Constable Alex Giblin of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said, “This is a tragic incident in which a young man has lost his life, and our thoughts are with his family and loved ones.”
“They will be supported by properly trained officers at this difficult period.
“We are working tirelessly to find answers for them, but I urge anyone with knowledge or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward and assist with our investigations.
“This might be an eyewitness report from the scene, doorbell video, CCTV, or dashcam footage. It can all be used to help us understand how a young man died in such tragic circumstances.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said: “Just after 12am this morning (Monday, June 2), two fire engines from Oldham Central and Ashton fire stations, along with the Enhanced Rescue Unit, responded to an incident on Rydal Walk in Oldham.
“Firefighters were on scene for about an hour and 30 minutes.”
