Police have named a guy who died during an incident.
Suffolk Police were alerted to complaints of an assault on the Felixstowe seashore promenade near Undercliff Road West on Saturday at 21:20 BST.
The next day, they were called to a residence on Carr Road, where the injured man, now identified as 25-year-old Charlie Stephen David Greaves of Ipswich, was discovered dead.
A 28-year-old Felixstowe resident was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder.
He was released on bail with conditions to return to police on 10th September.
A Home Office post-mortem took place on Tuesday and preliminary results indicate the cause of death was a traumatic head injury, pending further investigation.
A Suffolk Police spokesperson said it was believed Mr Greaves would have been seen with his dog – a brown and white Staffordshire bull terrier and boxer crossbreed – during the incident on Saturday evening.
Police continue to appeal for information.
