In the wake of a deadly collision in Motherwell, road policing officials are still making information requests.
A white Ford Puma struck a 68-year-old man who was crossing Logans Road in Motherwell around 9:10 p.m. on the A721 Bellshill Road.
After the 24-year-old female driver of the Puma pulled over, a blue Vauxhall Corsa hit her vehicle from behind.
After being transported to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, the pedestrian passed away there. Nobody else sustained any injuries.
Investigations are still underway about the road traffic infraction that led to the arrest of a 24-year-old woman.
Motherwell Road Policing Unit Sergeant Stewart Taylor stated: “At this trying time, our thoughts are very much with the man’s family.
“We are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident, and we would like to speak with the police if you have any information that has not yet been disclosed.
“We’re also encouraging drivers who have dash-cam footage from the area to get in touch with us.
