Following a crash, one guy died and another sustained life-threatening injuries.
Cumbria Police said the man, in his 30s, was driving a car when it collided with a truck on Park Road in Barrow at 22:30 BST
He was pronounced dead on the scene, while the van driver was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police are asking witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area at the time of the incident, to come forward.
A statement from the police said: “Officers are particularly keen to speak to anyone that may have a dashcam in their vehicle, or from anyone who saw a black Audi or a blue Vauxhall van at the time of the collision.”
