A woman has been taken into custody on charges of reckless driving resulting in death.
Last night in Sutton Coldfield (July 25), a pedestrian died as a result of an accident. Police are asking for information.
At approximately 10.20 p.m., police were called to the intersection of Boldmere Road and Redacre Road in Sutton Coldfield following a car crash involving a man.
The man was treated on the spot, but regrettably, he passed away despite the best efforts of his paramedic colleagues. On suspicion of causing death by unsafe driving, a woman was detained at the site and is still being held.
According to a statement from West Midlands Police, “We are urging witnesses and anyone with dashcam, CCTV, or doorbell footage to come forward as we continue our investigation.”
