The A47 was stopped for several hours while emergency services responded.
A man in his seventies died after being discovered gravely injured on a Norfolk roundabout. Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were dispatched to Hardwick Roundabout on the A47 in King’s Lynn.
He was pronounced deceased on the scene, and his next-of-kin have been notified. The route was stopped for several hours while emergency personnel stayed on the site.
A Norfolk Police official stated, “The A47 in King’s Lynn has been reopened following an earlier incident. Police were contacted at 9.50 a.m. yesterday, after a man in his 70s was discovered with significant injuries on the Hardwick roundabout. Road closures were imposed on the Hardwick flyover as emergency services, including police, ambulances and an air ambulance, responded.
“Despite receiving care, the man was pronounced dead at the site. His nearest of kin have been notified. The death is not being investigated as suspicious, and a case will be submitted to the coroner. The roads were entirely reopened about 1 p.m.
