American popular rapper lil baby is not dead. After a shooting incident that the rapper was involved in Memphis, he wrote on his Twitter(X) official account about how he couldn’t perform and assured his fans of a refund.
Who Is Lil Baby
Dominique Armani Jones popularly known as lil baby is an American rapper who has been on the limelight in recent years. He became famous following the release of his mixtape “Harder than Hard” and his first Billboard entry with his lead single “My Dawg”.
He has several awards including songwriter of the year, winning rap song, Best Male Hip Hop Artist, Best Hip Hop Video Impact Track with his popular song “ The bigger picture” which in the video he advocated against racism following the death of George Floyd.
Shooting Incident
A shooting incident occurred on September 7, 2023 during lil baby’s performance at the FedEx Forum which happened in Memphis. Kelvin Young who was accused of the shooting got arrested by the Memphis police.
After the incident, the Memphis Police Department reported that one person who attended the program was shot and was critically injured. However lil baby was rushed off stage and continued his “Only Us Tour”. As of 2024, lil baby is still alive and has released the official music video of crazy on his YouTube channel.
