Police are looking to identify two men as they investigate a reported assault. Gwent Police officers are looking into the report of an assault in Rogerstone between 4am and 6am on Saturday, July 16 An image has been issued of two men along with an appeal. Both were seen together in Newport city centre in the early hours of monday
“Officers investigating the report of an assault that happened in Rogerstone between 4 and 6am on Monday, July 15th are looking to identify these two men,” a police spokesperson stated.
“We think they may possess important information that may aid our investigations. The pair was spotted together in Newport’s downtown during the wee hours of Saturday.
“Anyone with information is encouraged to call 101 and provide the log reference 24*232553, submit a report through our website, or send us a direct message on social media. Alternatively, you can provide details and call Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111.”
