Tuesday night, Cottage Beck Road was the scene of the incident.
Sadly, a man in his 46th year of life passed away in Scunthorpe after a collision.
On Tuesday, July 16, at approximately 7:15 p.m., a man traveling on a moped on Cottage Beck Road is said to have veered off the road and struck some nearby fencing.
Sadly, the man was declared dead at the scene even though emergency personnel had responded.
Officers with specialized training have been notified and are providing support to his family during this trying time.
“Anyone who may have been in the area around the time of the collision, who has dashcam footage or witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken to us, is kindly asked to contact us at our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 450 of July 16,” a Humberside Police spokesperson stated.
