A man in Kent has been accused of raping his daughter close to a park.
At 05:45 BST on Thursday, a woman in her 20s reported to Gillingham’s Marlborough Road that she had been sexually assaulted by her stepfather. This prompted the police to be called.
Following his detention, a 25-year-old man was charged with rape, according to the police.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Maidstone Crown Court next month after making an appearance before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.
Anyone who was in the area on Thursday between midnight and 6:00 is welcome to speak with Kent Police.
Police should also be contacted by anybody who has dashcam footage or by residents who have CCTV or doorbell footage.
