His passenger is fighting for his life in hospital after last night’s crash.
The driver of the car was pronounced deceased on the scene.
A male passenger was transferred to the Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Police Scotland says investigations are continue to determine the exact circumstances.
A spokesperson stated, “We were called to a report of a one-vehicle crash on Corstorphine Road, Edinburgh, around 11.50pm on Saturday.”
“Emergency services responded, and the car’s driver, a 29-year-old man, was pronounced dead on the site.
“The male passenger in the automobile was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment, where he remains in critical condition.
Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcams to come forward and help with the investigation.
