Driver,27, killed in catastrophic crash leaving passengers with serious injuries in Falkirk today

A man died after his vehicle left the road early hours of today morning.
The deadly incident occurred shortly before midday today.

Around 7.50 a.m., a white Vauxhall Corsa driving southbound on the M9 between junction 8 Hills of Kinnaird and junction 9Bannockburn interchange veered off the road and crashed down an embankment.

Prior to the event, Police Scotland stated that the car was involved in a pursuit with one of their vehicles.

Emergency personnel responded, and the 27-year-old male driver was pronounced dead on the site.

Two male occupants in the automobile, aged 19 and 20, were brought to the Forth Valley Royal Hospital for medical examination.

The route is still closed, and police say it will remain so until officers have completed their investigations.
