The 70-year-old man died on New Road in Chatham after suffering many major injuries. The crash occurred at roughly 10.50 p.m.
North, 30, had been driving at a speed of between 29 and 33 mph but did not slow down as she approached the flashing amber lights of the crossing. The car struck the man as he was just a few steps from reaching the kerb.
