A fundraising campaign has been created to help the wife and small boy of a 37-year-old man died in an accident on the M40.
Lukasz Wolski, of Banbury, died at the scene after his van collided with a lorry near Gaydon at around 5.45 a.m. in Bicester england(September 12).
The truck driver was not injured.
Nearly £9,000 has been gathered through an internet crowdfunding campaign started by family friend Magda Kwiecinska.
Writing online, she said: “After a horrific accident on the M40, our dear Lukasz Wolski, husband to Paulina, father to Kuba, son to parents and parents-in-law, and friend to many, died on the scene.
“We still cannot believe what occurred. We are still waiting for him to return home. Unfortunately, the next time we see him will be on the other side.
“He was only 37 years old.”
She stated that the £15,000 appeal will allow Paulina and Kuba to “focus on grieving” without having to worry about funeral expenditures.
Ms Kwiecinska stated, “At the moment, we are concerned about Paulina and Kuba, ensuring that they are not alone and that everything for them is in order.
“Unfortunately, the cost of everything now is very high, and we want to make sure that both of them – Lukasz’s wife and son – are safe financially.”
In a tribute, Ms Kwiecinska told the Oxford Mail: “He was a family man, a loving, caring, and helpful person.
“He cares deeply about his kid Kuba and his wife Paulina. Everyone adores him since he is a very bright, always smiling, and attractive man.”
Mr. Wolski has resided in Banbury for 20 years.
She stated: “It’s a huge loss for everyone. I still can’t believe he’ll never knock on my door with that smile, say, ‘Hi, just been around,’ and pop in.
Mr. Wolski was characterised as “a true legend” by his friends.
Mariusz described Lukasz as “an energetic young man who always filled the room with joy and laughter.”
“You were like a brother to me, and you were always the first person I turned to when I needed you.
“Even though we had to wait a long time for you, you always showed up. That’s why you’ll always be missed, and perhaps one day we’ll meet again.”
Jakub added: “In loving memory of a true legend, Prawy, whose presence illuminated every room. His kindness, humour, and energy inspired those who knew him.
“The world feels a little dimmer without him, but his legacy of joy, kindness, and friendship will live on for ever.”
