Deadly Motorcyle Accident on Idaho Highway

A biker lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Coeur d’Alene River Road in Shoshone County, according to a report from the Idaho State Police (ISP).

ISP and the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office responded to an accident near milepost 19 on Coeur d’Alene River Road, north of Kellogg, Idaho, on September 21, at around 5:56 p.m.

A 50-year-old Coeur d’Alene resident was riding a gray 2016 Victory Magnum motorbike south when it collided with a red 1999 Yamaha XV1600 that was moving north. The driver of the Yamaha, a 34-year-old male from Coeur d’Alene, had a small passenger with him.

The driver of the Yamaha was airlifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, while the minor passenger was taken by ground ambulance. Both individuals are reported to have survived the crash. The rider of the Victory Magnum was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
