The spectacular scene of a truck leaving a freeway roadway and falling 60 feet (18 meters) over an embankment was captured on dashcam video.
On Monday at roughly 18:50 BST, a lorry fell off the Thelwall Viaduct on the M6 in Warrington, Cheshire.
The 56-year-old male motorist was brought to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Cheshire Police, and it is believed that he did not have any life-threatening injuries.
Dashcam footage of the HGV’s plummet was made public, and Inspector Anton Sullivan claimed it was “remarkable” that the driver had not suffered more serious injuries.

According to Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, firefighters descended to the driver using specialized equipment.
The truck was then cooled by crews using water.
They also included a biodiesel leak from the car’s fuel tanks that accounted for roughly 220 gallons (1,000 liters).
All lanes between junction 20 and 21 northbound have been reopened following the completion of barrier repairs to the highway bridge, according to police.
According to National Highways, the HGV has been found.

“It is remarkable that the HGV driver was not more seriously injured and other road users managed to escape unscathed,” stated Inspector Anton Sullivan.
“Due to low visibility and heavy rain, the scene was safely managed by cops during this event, which had a prompt reaction.
“The recovery phase of the incident was hampered by poor weather and challenging terrain where the lorry had landed.”
He claimed that the force had spent the entire day attempting to retrieve the totally wrecked car and trailer with the assistance of highways personnel and firefighters.
Before things could safely return to normal, he added, they also fixed a damaged railing above the viaduct, and he thanked drivers for their patience during the delays.
The inspector urged anyone with information or pertinent video to get in touch with Cheshire Police, adding that an investigation into the reason of the plunge was still underway.
