Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Castleford.
The people who witnessed or have footage of the incident between a motorbike and cars on Front Street, Glasshoughton, are being contacted by the Major incident and Enquiry Team (MCET).
The accident happened when an eastbound Keeway RKV motorcycle collided with the back of a Ford Puma that it was passing.
The man in his 30s lost control of the bike and was flung from it, colliding with an approaching Ford Ka.
When emergency personnel arrived on the site, they discovered that the cyclist had tragically suffered mortal injuries in the collision.
Front Street was closed to traffic while recovery and investigation efforts were conducted.
The Major Collision and Enquiry Team (MCET) at 101 should be contacted by anyone who witnessed the collision or has video of it, citing police log 1146.
