Investigators are trying to establish the cause of a flat fire which left a woman dead.
Also receiving treatment for the consequences of smoke inhalation was a man.
To find out what happened, Thames Valley Police officers are collaborating with specialists in fire investigations.
The woman was attended to by firefighters wearing breathing apparatuses, who gave her emergency care until paramedics arrived.
The fire service released a statement saying, “The firefighters forced entry to the flat.”
“They rescued one woman.”
It was said in the statement that “sadly, the woman died at the scene.”
According to the statement, smoke was “issuing” from a two-story block when fire teams from Thame and Aylesbury were called.
