At Everton’s new football stadium, which is being constructed in Liverpool, a worker passed away after suffering injuries.
According to Merseyside Police, the 26-year-old was hurt on the building site at Bramley-Moore Dock at around 12:30 BST and was taken to the hospital.
The force stated that it was collaborating with the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and that the man’s family had been notified.
Everton expressed his condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers and said that everyone at the club was “heartbroken.”
Stadium contractor Laing O’Rourke announced that work has been halted at the location until further notice and that it has been “shocked and saddened” by the “tragic incident”.
