The ‘isolated incident’ on Chorley New Road in Horwich is not linked to the school
Sadly, a body was found this morning close to a school.
Around 7.20 a.m. today, police and paramedics raced to the incident on Chorley New Road in Horwich. It came after worries for someone’s well-being.
Subsequently, the police reported that a guy had been discovered dead. Many police cars are parked outside St. Joseph’s RC High School, and there is a noticeable police presence in the vicinity. Parents have been informed by administrators that the ‘isolated occurrence’ had nothing to do with the school.
“Officers were called to Chorley New Road, Horwich, Bolton, at around 7:20am this morning where the body of a man was found,” a Greater Manchester Police spokesman said in a statement to the M.E.N. Identification still needs to take conducted but it’s not believed to suspicious.”
The school declared that all pupils were safe in a communication addressed to parents that the M.E.N. was able to view.
“Please take note that there was a police incident near the school this morning,” the notification stated. Although you may have been worried, rest assured that there is no need to be anxious as all kids are currently safe and participating in end-of-year assemblies.
Cops have cordoned off a small area that is both wooded and grassy. It encircles a route that runs alongside the Brazley Community Center and St. Elizabeth’s Church on Cedar Avenue, from Chorley New Road outside St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic High School.
About eleven a.m., a private ambulance drove off the scene. Three police cars are currently on the scene: a van, a CSI van, and a liveried car.
