Birmingham City: illegal claim after signing new contract

Krystian Bielik has thrown his support behind a project built at Birmingham City following his new contract.

In order to stay at St. Andrew’s while the team gets ready for life in League One, the midfield player has signed a new contract.

The Poland international has given the Blues his all through the 2027 summer season.

On the last day of the season, the 26-year-old made 36 appearances in the Championship but was unable to save Birmingham from being relegated to League One (all stats courtesy of Fbref).

He will, however, remain with the Midlands team as they get ready to compete under Chris Davies for immediate promotion back to the second division in 2025.

In his statement, Bielik gave credit to the project being built under the new manager’s direction for his decision to commit his future to Birmingham.

He also sent out a message to the supporters, asking them to support the team in the league the following year, since their assistance will be crucial to their push for promotion.

Via the team’s YouTube channel, Bielik stated, “I was obviously very upset [with] what happened on the last day of the season, and I wasn’t sure what to do.”

However, I had a nice conversation with Chris Davies, the manager, when I first met him.

“I have always maintained my belief in the project, which is enormous. Based on what I have observed, we have sold about 17,000 [season] tickets thus far, and I anticipate selling many more, as we will require them more than ever.
