Aylesbury man killed tragically in a fatal car crash

An arrest has been made after an 18-year-old man from Aylesbury was killed in a car accident.

On Friday, at around 2.50pm, a black Seat Ibiza collided with a van on the A41’s southbound carriageway, between Tring and Chesham.

Jorell Pascal, an Aylesbury resident, tragically died at the spot while driving the Seat.

Following his terrible and unexpected death, Jorell’s family paid tribute to the 18-year-old, saying: “This has been a tragic loss to our family; a young man was prematurely taken from us before achieving his potential.”

“Jorell attended Aylesbury Grammar School before continuing his studies in accountancy at Amersham College, where he had one year left.

“Jorell also competed for Buckinghamshire County Hockey Association in the Southern County leagues. Jorell leaves a huge void in our life.”

Since his death, the driver of the vehicle, a man in his fifties, was detained on suspicion of causing death by reckless driving and has been released while investigations continue.

Detective Sergeant David Burstow of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit stated, “Our thoughts are with Jorell’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.”

“We politely urge that their privacy be maintained.

“Investigations are continuing to determine how the crash occurred.

“We are still asking anyone who was driving along the bypass and spotted the automobile, which we believe was broken down in lane one before to the collision, or who witnessed the collision to contact us.
