Following a deadly collision in which the driver was ejected, Auburn Police were called to the site.
The driver of the vehicle reportedly ran off the road and struck a row of trees on West Valley Highway South, according to Auburn Police.
The car was almost completely destroyed before it came to a stop in a rural location.
The motorist was pronounced dead at the spot by the time the police arrived.
In order to finish their investigation, police blocked off West Valley Highway South between West Main Street and Highway 18.
Traffic in the area was forced to find alternate routes during this time.
Police did not indicate whether drugs or alcohol were involved or what led the driver to leave the road.
