Armed police stormed a Stockport gas station after receiving claims of a ‘gun’. Officers responded to Esso on the A6 Buxton Road in Heaviley at around 6 p.m. on Monday (August 19).
Eyewitnesses reported seeing armed cops at the petrol station in the evening. Greater Manchester Police said that they were responding to complaints of someone possibly holding an imitation handgun in a public location.
There have been no arrests made in relation with the event. According to GMP, investigations continue.
GMP claimed that the incident occurred at a gas station on Buxton Road. A member of Esso personnel verified that the event occurred at the filling station at the Countess Street junction.
