“Not being treated as suspicious”
Situated on the South West Coast Path, the abandoned limestone quarry at Winspit is a well-liked destination with stunning views of the ocean and the untamed coastline.
A Dorset Police spokesman stated:
“After officers arrived, the woman, who was from Poole and was in her 80s, was tragically declared deceased on the spot.
“There is no reason to suspect the death is suspicious. Both the coroner and the woman’s relatives have been alerted.
