On October 6, emergency personnel raced to Maidenhead Station in response to a report of a casualty on the tracks.
Passengers heading from Reading to London Paddington were notified by National Rail that this afternoon’s work will close the line between the two major stations.
“Officers attended along with paramedics but sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene,” a British Transport Police representative stated.
“A file will be prepared for the coroner, and the incident is not being treated as suspicious.”
