A car flips onto its roof in a collision near Bristol hospital

The vehicle flipped over after colliding.
This afternoon, Friday, October 4, a car crashed close to a hospital in Bristol, flipping it onto its roof. Following the collision between Ashburton Road and Southmead Children’s Centre, traffic is being rerouted away from the area.



Pictures taken from the scene show a car on its roof on Doncaster Road. The route is currently closed while the damaged vehicle is being recovered.

Photographs from the crash site show fire and police personnel. It is not clear how many vehicles were involved. It’s not thought that the crash has caused any significant harm to anyone.

First Bus informed customers that the ongoing incident would cause disruptions to a number of services. “SERVICE ALERT – 2, 76,” it stated. Due to an incident, Southmead and Doncaster Road were closed.

“2 to Cribbs, deviating via Pen Park Road, Greystoke, and Southmead Road. 76 to Hengrove is the opposite of above, with Cobbs deviating via Southmead Road, Pen Park Road, and Greystoke Avenue to reach Henbury/Cribbs.”
