Due to a broken water main in Bromley that occurred last evening (July 27), the A233 (Westerham Road) between Rectory Road and B265 Heathfield Road is closed.
Thames Water verified in a statement that engineers are on the scene and that repairs are presently being made.
The water provider apologised to drivers for any inconvenience caused and informed them that the road will be closed for a few days.
The 320, R2, 146, and 246 bus services are diverted while the road is still closed, per AA Maps.
“We responded to reports of a burst water main on the A223 in Bromley in the evening of Saturday, July 27,” a Thames Water representative stated.
“Our engineers responded as fast as they could, and they are working to make the required repairs, which should be finished in the next several days.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to homeowners and drivers, but the road will remain blocked throughout this time.”
