Virgil van Dijk has reportedly been “offered” by Liverpool to Atletico Madrid in Spain after the centre back expressed concerns over his future.
The German manager left the Reds at the end of the season, and Arne Slot, a former Feyenoord manager, took over as manager. The Reds have already made a lot of changes this summer.
Michael Edwards has rejoined the Premier League team as the CEO of football at FSG, and Richard Hughes has been named the new sports director of Liverpool.
Additionally, there have been suggestions that some of Klopp’s most seasoned players may leave Anfield with him, but as of yet, that has not come to pass.
Van Dijk stated in May that he would be “part of” the team’s “big transition” under Slot, citing his importance to much of Liverpool’s achievements under Klopp.
Van Dijk declared, “I am part of a big transition that will happen.” “I believe the club’s primary focus is on selecting a new manager, and they are quite busy with that process.
“As I previously mentioned, you can see that I adore the club and am really happy here. All I can say is that it already plays a significant role in my life.
