A 78-year-old Winchester man was murdered Thursday after being struck by a vehicle in a private parking lot near West Cork and South Stewart streets, according to a Winchester Police Department announcement.
Police arrived at the site around 12:26 p.m. and brought the man to Winchester Medical Centre, where he was declared dead.
The deceased’s identity has not been disclosed.
Kayla Foreman, Winchester Police Department Community and Creative Content Coordinator, stated in an email that no foul play is suspected.
According to Foreman, an inquiry may be ongoing as a medical examiner reviews the case.
