Police say a man was found deceased in a car at a retail park.
Merseyside Police announced the tragic news after being called to Cables Retail Park in Prescot on Saturday afternoon.
Police received word that a man “had been found unconscious” in a white Kia Rio by a member of the public.
A representative confirmed that the man was tragically killed.
The police feel there are no suspicious circumstances behind the man’s death.
A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that emergency services were on Cables Retail Park in Prescot following an incident on Saturday.
“Just before 1.45pm, we were called to Cables Retails Park following reports that a man had been found unconscious in a white Kia Rio by a member of the public, initially believed to have been a medical episode.
“He was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene by paramedics and his next of kin have been informed.”
She added: “CCTV examinations and witness inquiries were carried out in the area at the time of the incident and there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
“A file has been passed to the coroner.”
