A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the discovery of another man’s body at a Oldham residence.
The 61-year-old’s body was discovered at a property on Counthill Road in Oldham.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers have detained a man in his forties on suspicion of murder and are holding him in custody for questioning.
According to a police spokeswoman, officers were dispatched to the property after receiving allegations of an altercation.
GMP detectives remain at the property as they continue to make enquiries.
The 61-year-old man’s family were receiving support from specialist officers, she added.
