Investigations are ongoing after two people were arrested in connection with a crash that killed a Swindon  teenager.

At the scene of a catastrophic single-vehicle crash on an unidentified road between Bushton and Hilmarton, Toya Jefferies passed away

The 16-year-old Royal Wootton Bassett girl was riding in the back seat of the Renault Clio when the accident occurred.

Police at the time announced that an 18-year-old guy had been brought into prison after being apprehended on suspicion of causing death by hazardous driving.

Officers have since revealed that a 17-year-old was also arrested.

Both have been released under investigation.

At the crash scene, police conducted in-depth investigation, and the road was closed for more than 12 hours.

Previously, investigating authorities have made a call for anyone who may have dashcam footage or who could be a witness to come forward.

“Any witnesses to the collision or anyone with dashcam footage is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01225 694597 quoting log 351,” a force spokeswoman continued.
