The roadworks affecting Swindon drivers
National Highways says the multiple road closures are the result of maintenance and electrical works, and the agency hopes to minimise disruption as much as possible.
But motorists travelling in and around Swindon are set to experience delays of up to 30 minutes on some main roads.
The latest expected works list released by National Highways shows the five road closures that Swindon drivers need to be aware of.
• A419, from 8pm October 2 to 6am October 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A419 Northound carriageway closure between slip roads at A420 junction, *diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
• A419, from 8pm October 2 to 6am October 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A419 Soutbound, carriageway closure between the slip roads at A420 junction, *diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
• M4, from 9.30pm October 2 to 6am October 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 both directions, junction 14, slip road and lane closure for maintenance work.
• A419, from midnight, October 5 to 6am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A419 Northound carriageway closure between slip roads at A420 junction, *diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
• A419, from midnight, October 5 to 6am October 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A419 Soutbound, carriageway closure between the slip roads at A420 junction, diversion via exit and entry slip roads.
