Three men who perished in a single-car accident on a rural road near Falkirk have been identified.
Reece Williams, 23, Lewis Soden, 24, and Connor Page, 21, died after the car they were travelling in crashed near Dunmore at approximately 18:15.
The 20-year-old female driver of the automobile was transported to Forth Valley Hospital for treatment but has already been released.
The crash was the first in a slew of tragic occurrences on Scottish roadways last weekend, killing eight people.
The families of the three men have paid tribute through Police Scotland.
Mr Williams’ family described him as a much-loved son, brother, grandchild, nephew, cousin, and friend.
They went on: “There will not be a day where we don’t hold space to remember Reece and the memories that we made together.”
Mr Soden’s family described him as a cherished son, brother, grandchild, nephew, and friend to many.
Mr Page’s family stated, “Connor was loved beyond words.”
The family also thanked emergency personnel and witnesses.
Following the mishap, the road was stopped for seven hours while the accident was investigated.
Sergeant Elaine Scott clarified: “Enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the crash and we continue to appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to officers to please get in touch.”
