An 18-year-old woman found dead in her flat had suffered a blood clot in her lung, an inquest has hear Karolina Lipodatenko died on 1,9, 2024, at her home on Portland Street, King’s Lynn.
An inquest into her death opened at Norfolk Coroners Court on Friday, with Yvonne Blake, the area coroner, confirming the medical cause of death as pulmonary thromboembolism, when a clot blocks a blood vessel in the lungs.
The hearing was told that her body was identified by a friend.
On the website of Thornalley Funeral Services, Miss Lipodatenko, who was born in Lynn, has received tributes from her friends.
She was one of the kindest persons I encountered in school, and she gave me the impression that I had a real friend, according to one commenter.
“She was a good-hearted person who would constantly defend me, even when I was at fault. We shall miss her.”
One more person commented, saying, “Karolina was the first friend I made in year seven and she stayed with me all the way through.”

A former teacher wrote that she “lit up our classroom with her smile”forever miss her.
