This weekend, there were two distinct occurrences in Worcester that resulted in two deaths and five injuries.
Three persons were found in serious condition and one person was killed in a collision between Weighbridge and Goudini that ER24 paramedics responded to last night. Two other people suffered from moderate injuries.
The female driver and the other passengers were reportedly thrown from the car when it rolled because the driver lost control of the vehicle.
Approximately around 19:00, a woman in severe condition was brought to the attention of ER24 paramedics after she was struck by a car on the N1 at the Ceres turn-off.
The woman was taken to Worcester Hospital for emergency care, but sadly, there was nothing the hospital could do for her, and they had to declare her dead.
The woman was thought to be approximately five months pregnant.
On the site were the Breede Valley Fire Department, Metro Emergency Services, Worcester Provincial Traffic Services, and the Police.
Both of these cases will be investigated by local authorities.
