Barnaby Webber, a stabbing victim from Nottingham, was released from hospital nine months before the attacks, and his family was left “furious” after a BBC Panorama report revealed NHS inadequacies.

The documentary’s findings showed that a psychiatrist had warned, three years prior to the attacks, that Calocane could “end up killing someone” due to his serious mental disorder.

On June 13, 2023, Calocane went on the rampage through Nottingham’s streets, killing Barnaby and Grace O’Malley-Kumar, two 19-year-old students.

Then, close to the school where he worked, Calocane fatally stabbed 65-year-old custodian Ian Coates.

Following the broadcast of the BBC’s Panorama show on August 12th, Radd Seiger, the attorney representing the Webber family, had an interview with Sky News.

He stated, “We’re very disappointed at the insensitive timing of it and for not including the victims. Congratulations to Panorama for getting this through.”

We must consider the new information that was revealed last night.

“It is understandable that this morning the family is furious and their blood is boiling.”
