Two arrested by police over assault in Milton Keynes

After a guy was attacked at the Milton Keynes Reggae Land Festival, two individuals have been taken into custody.

The two arrests were made in relation to an incident that occurred on Sunday, April 8, at around 8:50 p.m., according to Thames Valley Police.

A man was beaten in The National Bowl’s main arena during the incident, and after emergency personnel arrived, the victim was brought to the hospital with stab wounds. He is presently recuperating and stable.

Two men from Milton Keynes, ages 29 and 31, have been taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder, public order violations, and drug crimes, according to confirmation from the police. Both of them are still being held.

Detective Inspector Graeme Williams, the investigating officer, stated, “We understand that this may cause concern to the community but we still believe that this was a targeted attack and there is no risk to festivalgoers or the wider public.” Detective Williams is assigned to the Milton Keynes police station.

“We are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident and have been collaborating closely with the event organisers and their security team.”
