Two people were hospitalised after a car struck a pedestrian on Blackburn Street earlier yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the corner of Granville Road and New Bank Road.
The driver lost control of the vehicle and flipped it on its side. The pedestrian was treated by ambulance teams, according to witnesses.
At around 2pm yesterday, Lancashire Police reported a crash between a car and a pedestrian. Both the driver and the pedestrian were transported to the hospital. Ambulance, police, and fire department responded.
According to a spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, two fire engines from Blackburn responded to a road traffic collision on New Bank Road at 2.05pm on yesterday.
One casualty was released from their vehicle and transported to the hospital by NWAS paramedics. Crews were present for an hour and 15 minutes.
