A man in his 60s has died after a collision at Haydock. Merseyside Police say it happened on Liverpool Road near Pewfell Park around 4pm on Tuesday (30th July).

The victim was a pedestrian when he was struck by an automobile.

While examining local CCTV material, police are interested in speaking with anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who was in the neighbourhood and had a dashcam at the time.

“Our thoughts and condolences are with the family of the man who has sadly lost his life following a collision earlier today,” Chief Inspector Philip Cowin stated.

“We have immediately opened an investigation into his passing, and our professionally qualified liaison officers will assist his family.

“I kindly want anyone who saw this occurrence to get in touch with us. As an alternative, I kindly ask that you review any dashcam film you may have that may have captured the incident and come forward if you were driving in the area.
