The cause of a fire at a “derelict” civic building is currently being looked into. Reports indicate that’multiple’ fire engines, police, and paramedics were called to the Fenton scene.
Just before noon on Sunday, July 14, emergency services were called to the intersection of King Street and Perth Street, as reported at the time by StokeonTrentLive. The Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has verified as of today that there is still no known reason.
A representative stated: “We received a call regarding a fire at a vacant structure located at the intersection of King Street and Perth Street. Numerous teams were dispatched to the location, accompanied by colleagues from the West Midlands Ambulance Service and Staffordshire Police. Luckily, there were no injuries and the fire was immediately put out. At this time, the fire’s origin is unknown.”
